Memories of Melody

Stories and memories shared by those who loved her

Arms Up!

Melody was truly the heart and the soul of our group of friends - she was the friend you wanted at the party - the friend that brought the fun and enthusiasm and joy! She just had a presence and a light about her - it made me - and I think all of us - want to be close enough to her so that we could have some of that light shining on us and some of her energy and zest for life seeping into us ! An...

A Memory

Melody was a very special person. From the day you met her you were drawn into her laughter, excitement, and love of life. She shared her friendship and family with all of us with her stories of good times. In our drumming classes if we weren't loud enough she would ask "Is that all you got? Make me proud!" Well she will be greatly missed and hopefully we will continue to "Make her proud".

A Memory

Melody was the person who first pulled me into cardio drumming — her energy, her smile, the way she lit up the room… you couldn’t help but get caught up in it. She had a way of making everything feel alive — whether it was cardio class, a pool gathering, or just being around her. She was the spark. I’m so grateful I got to experience that, even for a short time. She made a lasting impact on...

A Memory

Melody first joined my cardio drumming class a couple of years ago, & her enthusiasm was instantly unforgettable. She was always smiling & laughing—especially since “there are no wrong moves but accidental solos.”🤭 At first, she wasn’t sure about teaching, but with encouragement, she and her friends Bonnie, Linda & later Kelly, went on to launch three cardio drumming classes & a Facebook page t...

Happiness

This lady was the definition of joy! Always smiling, laughing at her mistakes and making everyone around her feel welcomed! I’ll miss her at Cardio Drumming! I recall her telling me her story strong starting drum. So encouraging!

A Memory

I am so glad that God shared Melody six weeks ago with me when I joined Cardio Drummming. She had a beautiful smile, love for all of us and a LOUD voice to say “keep on going”. I will miss her and pray for her. God Bless Melody.

Mutual Fans of Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny

I still remember the day I met Melody - July 8, 2024 at the St. Catherines pool in The Villages. She overheard me talking about Bruce and told me how much she loved his music and incorporated his songs into her Cardio Drumming classes. In November 2024 we met up again at Southside Johnny’s show and she was so excited to get his setlist and meet him outside the venue after the show. It was a specia...

So sorry to hear about Melody. She was a sweet person

I hope you’re drumming with the angels. Fly high sweetheart ❤️

I met Melody when she used to drum at Donna’s class on Mondays. She was a very enthusiastic drummer and would break her drumsticks. I came to know her as a sweetheart and cared a lot for her even though I didn’t see her once she got her own class. My prayers go out to her family and of course her besties Linda, Bonnie and Kelly. This just breaks my heart 💔
